CBSE CTET 2017: The Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) will now be conducted online instead of the previous model of written exam. This drastic change in the CTET Exam Format has been announced by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), according to a few sources.
NCTE Chairperson Confirms CTET 2017 Exam is now in Online Format
A. Santosh Mathew, the chairperson of NCTE has made this change to the format of CTET exam. It is believed that such a change in the exam format of CTET 2017 has been brought about to improve the quality of teachers in the country. A. Mathew was quoted saying, ‘this examination will be changed from pen-paper mode to computer based online.’
A. Matthew said that apart from this, the Council is going to make changes in the structure of the examination.
While talking about the changes made in the test format, A. Mathew said, till now the examination was meant to check the knowledge and skill of the teachers but once the new format of the exam has been implemented, the teacher’s attitude will be examined.
CTET 2017 Notification
Though no official notice has been released on the CBSC website, aspirants who are waiting to apply CTET 2017 should start preparing for the online test format.
The registrations for CTET 2017 is likely to start in the month of September 2017.
What is CTET Exam
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) every year for the appointment of teachers in government schools, private schools, Navodaya Schools, and Central Schools across the country. CTET is held for the candidates who have a degree of B.Ed or any other equivalent teaching programme.
As of now, CBSE has not issued any notification regarding the registration process of CTET, but it will soon be released.
