Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan is an eminent epidemiologist and economist, consulted by leaders and policymakers on public health policies. He contributed to resolving the COVID crisis with his predictive models and advice on public engagement and served on Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. His work has been covered in NYT, BBC, CNN, and many more media outlets. He is the Founder and Director of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy (CDDEP, USA) and also a Co-founder of HealthCubed, engaged in improving access to healthcare and diagnostics. A senior research scholar at Princeton University and an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and is an alumnus of BITS, Pilani, India.
