The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the enterprise leader responsible for translating business strategy into execution at scale. Prof. Peeyush Mehta is a professor of Operations Management at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta since 2012.
During 2005–2011, he was a faculty in the Department of Industrial & Management Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
He obtained his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Research fellow at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
After obtaining his Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical from Jodhpur University, he worked in industry for three years in Power sector operations.
At IIM Calcutta, he teaches courses on production and operations management, supply chain management and operations analytics.
Prof. Amit Dhiman has been associated with IIM Calcutta since 2008. His academic and professional background spans HR management, industrial relations, and mechanical engineering, giving him a broad and multidisciplinary foundation.
Prof. Dhiman’s teaching, research, and consulting work primarily focuses on strategic human resource management, performance management, and HRM in service sectors. He has published in reputable journals and engages extensively in executive education, working with global companies and public-sector organizations.
