India’s digital payments landscape has transformed dramatically over the course of last few years. In this rapidly evolving ecosystem it’s imperative to have a forward and futuristic thinking approach towards technology. NPCI being the thought leader in the space is always on the lookout for innovative, new-age solutions. In the hunt for the next unique solution, NPCI is excited to announce the TECH HACKATHON.

FAQs

The hackathon is open for college students who have a keen interest in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (ML), Blockchain and other emerging technologies.

No, the participation is free.

You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your registration. All successfully registered teams will receive access to Kaggle at the start of the Hackathon window (14 - 16 October 2022) at 00:00 Hrs on 14th Oct' 2022

Participants can register in teams of 2 to 5 (only college students eligible).

Hackathon will be conducted online on Kaggle. More details about the Hackathon will be shared subsequently with the successfully registered teams.

Yes, all the entries should be functional for the jury panel review.

The briefing session will be conducted by the NPCI team on 12/13th Oct 2022. All registered teams will get a prior notification on their registered email ids.

The problem statements of this hackathon will be around Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

There will be 3 problem statements. Teams can attempt any number of problems.

There is no cash reward. However, top 3 teams for each problem statement will get a chance to interact with the NPCI team and understand what’s happening in the digital payments landscape in India and how the world is acknowledging the same.

Teams are welcome to make changes in the number of members as long as it’s within 2-5 members.

There will be a briefing session with the NPCI Team where participants can resolve any queries. Registered candidates will be communicated about the briefing session. However, no specific bootcamps or online training sessions.

No, any one member of the team can complete the registration for the entire team

Participants can use Python or R programming languages in the hackathon

Registered candidates will receive a google form upon successful submission in the registration page. Any one team member can submit the google form with the entire team details.
