Mr JA Chowdary is being honoured with the “VISISHTA PURASKAARAM” Award by the Dr. Ramineni Foundation, for his outstanding contribution to the growth of IT industry in AP

Congratulations to Mr JA Chowdary, on being bestowed the “VISISHTA PURASKAARAM” Award by the Dr. Ramineni Foundation, on 12th October, 2011 at Vijayawada, for his outstanding contribution to the growth of IT industry in AP.

DR. RAMINENI FOUNDATION was founded in 1995 by the Late Dr. Ramineni Ayyanna Chowdary in Cincinnati of Ohio State, USA. The primary mission of the foundation is to felicitate the valiant, relentless and altruistic efforts of all those high priests drawn from a cross spectrum of fields in arts, science and humanities.

J.A. Chowdary, the Chief Mentor for TiE Hyderabad is the spirit behind the strategy and direction at TalentSprint. He combines his conviction that education is the most effective transformational tool and his unshakable belief in scalable and sustainable practices for social inclusion to champion the cause of academia-industry linkage.

Mr. Chowdary has served as the Managing Director at NVIDIA Corporation and also as the President & CEO of PortalPlayer-India. From 1987-1999 as the Founding Director of STPIs in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, he played a key role in the spurt of outsourced software development and the setting up of Indian operations of multinational companies. Currently he is on the Board of Trustees for TiE global and Co- Chairman FICCI- AP Chapter. He is also the President of ADI Foundation.

He has received several prestigious awards including Meritorious Invention Award from NRDC, Govt. of India and Special Award from Hyderabad Management Association for promoting the IT industry in AP.

JA holds two Masters Degrees from IIT-Madras and Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi.

The other prominent people being honored with the “VISISHTA PURASKAARAM” Award by the Dr. Ramineni Foundation, are Mr Varaprasad Reddy of Shanta Biotech and Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology.
