TalentSprint, an emerging leader in professional skills development, will collaborate with AP Society for Knowledge Networks (APSFKNW), the organization that operates Jawahar Knowledge Centres (JKC), to offer skill development programs to rural and semi-urban graduates of the state.

AP Society for Knowledge Networks and TalentSprint signed the Letter of Agreement (LoA) today in the presence of His Excellency Shri E.S.L. Narasimhan, Governor of AP, Mr. Ajay Misra, Principal Secretary, Information Technology and Communications, Government of AP, Mr. Dilip Chenoy, CEO & MD, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Mr. Amarnath Reddy, CEO of AP Society for Knowledge Networks. The announcement was made at the inauguration of TalentSprint’s new Employability and Skill Development Centre in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the signing of the LoA, Mr. Ajay Misra, Principal Secretary, Information Technology and Communications said, “It is very important to bridge the sizable talent gap that exists between obtaining degrees and being employment-ready. Companies like TalentSprint address this issue since India should no longer be looked upon as a source of cheap labour. We have to push the envelope and create an impact in the market place by increasing the base of employable workforce. This partnership is a significant step to address the issue of employability in the state.”

Dr. Santanu Paul, CEO and Managing Director, TalentSprint, said, "As per this arrangement, up to 1000 rural and semi-urban graduates will be nominated by AP Society for Knowledge Networks over the next year to undergo professional skill development programs at TalentSprint. We have tied up with the Central Bank of India to offer trainee financing to the extent of 90% of program fees. In effect, those nominated for this program will receive world class input at a nominal upfront cost, and the balance will be paid after they secure jobs and start earning. This unique partnership will promote both talent inventory expansion and economic inclusion, and cater to the huge talent gap that has built up in the IT and BFSI sectors."

The state-of-the–art Employability and Skill Development Centre which TalentSprint launched today in Hyderabad will build upon its track record of successfully skilling 1500 unemployed college graduates in technology, domain and business communications, and enabling them to get their first job at salaries ranging from Rs. 1.5 to Rs. 3.2 lakhs per annum. Leveraging its deep industry relationships, the company has built a strong partnership base of over 50 companies.
